FORTY TOWERS

Mike & Margaret Osborne and myself (Ken Saunders) have purchased a farm near Bellac in the Limousin region of France and are moving to France to live (June 1999). The farm is basically a sheep farm with around 260 head at present, we grow our own crops mainly for animal feed. We are improving the farm and also intend to convert several of the buildings into holiday cottages (gites). We are constructing a swimming pool, attractive gardens and terraces and play area for children. We hope to have this work completed ready for the 2003 holiday season and hope to see many of our friends and fellow car enthusiasts visiting with us. The farm is approximately 120 acres and includes a trout river, and many quiet and picturesque areas to walk and observe the many and varied flora and forna that abounds in this area. For the car enthusiasts, especially GT40 nuts we will have a fully equiped workshop with four post hydraulic hoist, welding equipment, sheet metal working equipment, lathe, milling machine and most other equipment for building, repairing and maintaining GT40's, classic cars or virtually any other vehicle.
The name "Forty Towers" was the obvious choice for our enterprise and some of the GT40 Enthusiast Club members have already appointed the names Basil, Manuel and Sibel to the three of us. We hope that we can live up to expectations.
