GT40 - HeartStopper

It may be the rarefied looks of a Le Mans winner, or perhaps the sizzling performance, that very few other sports cars have been able to set the motoring enthusiasts pulse racing Like the race-bred GT 40 ... its a real heart stopper!
Roaring Forties are able to offer a reincarnation of the GT 40 with all the dynamism and advanced features of today's technology at an affordable price. From the basic kit form through to rolling chassis or a complete turn-key unit, each component of the car is built to exacting standards by a team of highly skilled engineers and craftsmen.
The whole purpose of a replica, we believe, is to faithfully re-create to the finest possible degree the shape and specification of the original car. All too often, others get the first part right but are forced to compromise on the details of the specification either through convenience or lack of technological know-how.

The Roaring Forties GT 40 Mklb replica has the convincing looks. but it is not until you get under the skin that you begin to appreciate how painstakingly engineered this sports car is.
The basis of the Roaring Forty is a fully triangulated space frame with all mounting and fixings already MIG welded on precision gigs. With the chassis, the intention is that it can be used as the basis of an exhilarating high-performance road car, but capable of being refined for more serious competition use.
All chassis are individually tested and certified to comply with Australian Design Rules (ADR's) and is design to conform with the various standards required in Europe. Similar to the original GT 40, the suspension has double wishbones to the front and the rear has lower reversed "A" frames, single top link and double radius arms using our own cast aluminium or magnesium uprights. The springing is provided by coil-over adjustable dampers front and rear.

Race bred performance

The American Ford 302ci V8, with it's irresistible energy, was the obvious engine choice as it replicates the majority of original GT 40s.
The power plant is available in original form or with full modern polution control including catalytic converters and is mated to a Porsche, Audi, Renault, ZF or most other transaxles. Four, five and six speed variations are available. The gear change system can be standard H patern or modern sequential push / pull for race applications.
The brakes are ventilated disks all around with four pot calipers but larger and more efficent systems are available for race applications.
The standard machine provides top speeds of 250kph and 0-100 kph times of 5 seconds are normal, but with tuned engines and correct ratio gearboxes, this can be dramatically improved.
The interior of the GT 40 features the classic simplicity reminiscent of sport's racing cars with the modern styling and finish of a today supercar.
Combine all of the elements and it becomes clear that the only part of the equation missing from this unique performance package....is you....the driver.
